Sounds like you have excellent floor construction. If your stands all have a rigid connection directly to the wood, I am puzzled why there would be no audible difference between the rigid stands and the more flexible Skylan stands. It seemed unmistakeable when I compared them. If you have carpet and underlay and if they are preventing a rigid connection, then the effect of this may be greater than any flexing in the stands, producing the sound you report and masking the differences between stands.

I note also that you have the speakers near the wall as per Peter's recommendations. My observation has been that locating them near the back wall improves bass but reduces soundstaging somewhat. I find that in my room a good arrangement is to have the Snell's out from the back wall but close to the side wall and angled about 45deg in. That seems to give a wide deep soundstage, good bass and a good size listening area. My understanding is that Peter has an arrangement something like this in his own home. You do of course need the right room configuration to do this.
