I had a friend who was ahead of his time. Ten years ago Ko Chen Chou had his Audio Research Classic 150 all apart. The top cover, sides, and bottom were all removed. The circuit was just hanging in air. This was some of the most open sound I have heard. He also had a David Berning Preamp Timbre Technology DAC CEC trasnsport and ESP Concert Grand Speakers. All of his Mapleshade wires were suspended with nylon fishing wire. The only thing missing was Cryogenic treatment and an analog setup.
