I find the cryo tube stories even harder to believe, there are so many things that can go wrong deep freezing tubes.
Like what?
Cryogenic treatment has been around for a long time and it has only recently become an audiophile fad. You seem to be suggesting that most materials can't withstand cryogenic treatment without cracking, which is ridiculous and false. I don't know if there's any audible benefit to freezing wall outlets and vacuum tubes, but there's no reason to think it can't be done when the aerospace industry has been cryo treating metals and polymers for a long time.
