A few hints to avoid scammers

On Outlook Express, select the email in your inbox (it will be highlighted in blue), click on it with the right hand mouse button, select Properties, then Details, then Message Source.
Look for the originating email server address within the source code text, copy and paste it into any of the following tools and find out where the other guy is really located.

Tools to find out from where the email was sent, even if it is "camouflaged" with fake URLs:
http://samspade.org/t/refer?i=on

I always do a Yahoo White Page or Yellow Page search on the individual. Does he/she have a phone number ? This also helps verify the ship-to-address.
Also, I suggest typing the buyers names into Google, between brackets:
"John Doe". It worked for me once, a good soul had set up a Web page warning about a counterfeit store contacting people through Audioweb and Audiogon.
A search on Dejanews will find out if the other guy has been badmouthed on any Internet Forum.

I hope this helps
Carlos
