ACME silver cryo outlets.

Got a couple of the 20A silver cryogenic ACME outlets in use for several days. First of all, I must express my disdain for the poor state of affairs I found behind the wall and the old, nasty, oxidized Romex and outlets. I think if you haven't already, you should open up your audio outlets and use Caig DeOxit/ProGold to clean those Romex leads and your outlets at the least! It's a wonder how ANY clean juice comes through that yucky outlet!

Of course, if you have $40 to spend, GET the 20A silver cryo ACME outlet. I guess the sound should change after prolonged use, but after several days, I'll say it was very worth it. Smallest details are coming through easier. Treble is more extended and clear, with that extra "sparkly" quality yet smoother. Bass has gained that rumbly quality which comes from better control and solidity.

Most of all, music just seems to explode into your room more effortlessly. Whacks of drum actually have me that head "concussion" feeling the other night! Music is flowing and breathing easier.

I do not want to overstate the benefits, though. I would rate the improvement somewhere along the lines of upgrading from a very good interconnect to a supreme one, not in the realm of chaning speakers or front-end, etc. But for $40, it's a definite no-brainer and I'm glad I listened to the loonies at AA and bought it.

One caveat, because of the more extended and clear treble, the sound right now is a little tilted upwards with consequent slight "leaning" of the human voices, which is much cleaner though. For you long-time users, will this go away after months of use?
