I have a Capitole MKII and it does not hum with several amplifiers, tube or solid state, including digital amps (tough ones).
Your problem most likely is caused by the amplifier's ground configuration.
If you have a DMM, I suggest that you perform a simple experiment:
disconnect the balanced cables and measure ohms (continuity) between the male connector body (find some bare metal) and the outer cover of the female connector (again, look for a screw or some bare metal).
If your meter reads continuity (close to zero ohms), open up the cable at the female end and cut off/insulate the wire soldered to a small tab that connects to the XLR plug metal body.
This should solve your ground issue.
For an in-depth explanation see the attached link.
good luck
Carlos
