The MDA1000 is an over sampling / up sampling D-to-A. It will accept PCM data from 32 to 96 KHZ and 16 to 24 bit. Digital stereo signals which fall in these parameters from CD transports, DVD 24/96, and others can be processed.
The input signals are up sampled to 24/ 96 and then taken to 24/768 using eight Burr Brown converters running in a balanced mode, four per channel at maximum speed. The final digital waveform looks very analog before filtering.
The output of the MCD1000 is either fixed or variable and will swing over 6 volts which should drive any power amp directly.
