Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

Most analog sounding DAC, upsample or non-oversample?

So, after getting a Linn Axis turntable a month ago, I'm begining to turn my back on digital. The analog sound has such good timing and pace! So much more immediate. Can a new DAC let me enjoy the other 80% of my music collection on the silver disc?

I'm looking for something that will bring that open, airy, organic sound of analog to digital. The Adcom GDA-600 is a tad polite and subdued when it comes to this task. The DTI jitter box has helped a little, but I think there's no way to improve without doing something totally different: upsampling, or non-oversampling.

After a bit of research, I'm really interested in:

Bel Canto DAC 2, (upsampling contender).

I was also think of the Audio Note DAC 1.1 (non oversampling, tube output), but I think this output is 3.5 V, and may not match with my amp (Audio Refinement Complete).

Perhaps something more traditional with a tube output would do the trick, but so long as details are glossed over.

Any suggestions? Much appreciated...
