Home Digital Drive

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

Re: Thanks (and a question)

Dave, I was re-emphasizing the role of the digital cable, getting back to the original poster's question.
The digityal cable must be able to pass extremely high frequencies with a very steep slew rate and hopefully do not add noise, frequency or phase distortion.
Therefore, it seems to me that the signal is digital, but the cable is subject to analog-like distortions (unless one implements I2S).
If the digital signal had an imbedded stable master clock, I guess that most digital cables would sound the same.
Am I correct in my assumption ?
Carlos
