Home Digital Drive

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

Thanks (and a question)

Thanks.
Do you know at which voltage level does the input receiver recognize a 1 or a zero transition?
I see some imperfections on the leading edge and trailing edge of the waveform. Depending on the receiver/DAC trigger level, this could induce to jitter and distortion.
Please don't call me stubborn, but just for the sake of a friendly argument, it seems to me that your picture proves that the digital cable's slew rate and good termination (absence of reflections - ghost images)are extremely important for proper reproduction of the digital signal. Isn't that what engineers call an RF transmission line ?
Best wishes
Carlos
