Audio Aero Capitole, does not need tube rolling

The Audio Aero Capitole meets all your requirements and sounds gorgeous, extremely musical.
I have a stash of about 500 tubes and have tried different tubes in every amp or preamp that passed thru my listening room (including a few DIY projects).
One usually does tube rolling to change tonal balance, perspective or to get rid of excess noise or microphonics.
The 6021W was developped in the end of the tube era (around 1960), it is a very quiet, non-microphonic tube. It sounds very linear and transparent to me, I have no desire to do tube rolling.

The Capitole comes from the factory with Phillips-ECG tubes. I found Thompsom-CSF and Westinghouse 6021Ws in some tube dealers. I do not believe these brands will sound superior to Phillips-ECG tubes, based on my experience with other small double triodes made by those factories.

If I ever find Telefunken or Phillips Holland 6021, I MAY try tube rolling, but frankly, I am too busy listening to the music, no time for tweaking.
The Capitole has a certain "correctness of tone and timbre" that is extremely addicting.
I am listening to Nat King Cole now, next is Charlie Haden live at Montreal.
Enjoy the music
Carlos
