Audio Aero

"Audio Aero II (afraid this may be too much air/light not enough backbone)"
My AA Capitole has lots of backbone, now that I found the right power cord for it (DIY double shielded 12 AWG with telescopic ground). It is very sensitive to power cords and the CD to preamp interconnect (I use Van den Hul The First Ultimate)
The Capitole's treble/midrange purity is out of this world, VERY un-digital.
I have a Linn turntable,Ittok arm, Benz cartridge, ARC phono stage which are basically sitting idle since the arrival of the Capitole.
For example, today I listened to music from 10 am to 10 PM with short intervals for lunch, etc. I heard Jazz, classics, world music, 90% of the CDs sounded wonderful and extremely musical on the Capitole. I forgot what is listener fatigue.
Very few redbook recordings sound really bad - mainly older digital recordings.
It's like having your own remastering lab: Cds that sounded dreadful on a $3000 CDP now sound very musical.
If you are looking for maximum musical pleasure and correct instrumental timbre (not sound effects or techno bass), the Capitole will make you a very happy listener.
Good luck in your search
Carlos
