Re: Help, Hum from CAL Alpha DAC

Have you recently moved the DAC closer to a transformer or another component ?
If not, the tube swap clearly indicates a tube problem.
I recommend that you buy US made tubes.
7025 is a special low hum version of the 12AX7.
RCA is probably the best sounding 7025 widely available.
Avoid GE and re-branded tubes (International, Zaerix, distributor's brands)
