Home Digital Drive

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

Two suggestions

A- play a recording with lots of bass and walk around your system/rack. Look for the position with the weakest bass output. Place your CDP right there, even if it means moving the Rack.
B- buy a couple of children's bycicle inner tubes. Place first tube on top of rack shelf, then place a glass or marble slab, then the second inner tube, then the CDP on top. Place another glass pane or marble slab on top of CDP (oops, no con do with a Rega; skip this step).
Use a bubble level to ahem, level the CDP. The tubes must be filled with low pressure, the whole gizmo should wobble like a jello pudding when you touch it. Guaranteed better bass and less mistracking.
However, no serious CD player should mistrack from airborne vibration. Have a good technician adjust Laser Focus and Laser Tracking.
Good luck
Carlos
