Home Digital Drive

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

looking for extra detail & clarity...

Yes, I'd have to use the Toslink output from the changer, so I'm guessing a jitter correction would do me good.

My goal: I'm hoping to get more mid-range detail, tighter bass, and clean up AAD recordings a bit. Will a 24/96 DAC help out in that respect?

Will I even notice an improvement considering my rather 'mid-fi' reciever (Yamaha RX-596) & PSB Image 2B speakers?

I don't think I need to specially avoid stuff with harshness in the high end - I get the feeling I'm not that sensitive to it, and that my equipment is fairly laid-back sounding anyway.

Thanks for your advice!
