I'm quite skeptical about freezing of cds. Cryogenic treatment is one thing, that actually changes the structure of materials for the better. A freezer does not come close to the temparatures at which structural rearrangement takes place, which needs to be much colder, preferably close to "absolute zero" (close being a relative term). If you had positive results, perhaps they are cuased more by your brain than any "real" change in the CD. Many people find CD tweaks ridiculous, I disagree entirely. I mark the edges of my cds, it seems to reduce digital nastiness. Trust you ears, even if it's your brain, the improved "sound" is real and worthwhile.
