RE: Can A good CD player sound like vinyl?

Vinyl and digital have different virtues. Digital, even the best, can't quite get the ease of vinyl, which is one of the attributes of live music. The hugely expensive Audio Note CDT 5 and Fifth Element/Fifth Force dac get a lot of it, but I've never heard that much of it from any other, including other Audio Note equipment, which gets some of it. But ease isn't everything. I hear a degree of clarity, immediacy, and speed, which are also attributes of live music, from my digital rig that I don't get from my (very good) vinyl rig. If one format were clearly and altogether better than the other, there would be no conversation.
