I have been leaving the 7 on repeat mode at night and I am at about the 50 hour mark on break in. The sound is relaxing and open. I also noticed differences as I listened to a disk or two every day.
Today I listened to George Duke "Snapshot", Janis Ian "Breaking Silence", and Cara Dillon and I am very pleased. I am VERY familiar with the first two of these disks and have used them to evaluate systems when I am out and about.
Keyboards and pianos sound more percussive and bell like. Vocals are more intimate. The player has a sense of being louder because events seem to jump out of the silence. Bass sounds much more realistic nothing overdone. (played that instrument for many years) Overall I highly recommend the upgrade and my hat is off to Ayre for offering this upgrade for a reasonable price.
Cheers.
