RE: Possible solution for new problem

Hi.
You may have inadvertently pressed the CD button on the remote. This will make your Capitole work as a transport only and disable the display.
I suggest that you do the following:

Turn off the rear power switch;
wait ten seconds;
turn-on the rear power switch;
Press CD/PRE on the remote;
Press display, it should work.

To find the source of extraneous noises:
-Press Mute while playing a disc;
-If the buzz continues, there is a ground loop issue, review your grounds.
Only ONE component must be connected to the safety Ground to avoid ground loops. I suggest the Berning amp, due to it's switching power supply.

-If the buzz disappears on Mute, you need a triple-shielded power cable for the CD player, it's receiving interference from the Berning amp's switching power supply. Shunyata VX, Purist Ferrox or other super-shielded cords will help. You may want to verify if your signa cables are shieldet, too.
Also, make sure that the Berning amp is plugged to the SAME outlet as your preamp, since any neutral or ground voltage difference between components will be amplified as buzz.
Good luck
Carlos
