RE: Are you comparing just ONE digital recording

jedrider raises some good points. Do all of your CDs sound the way you describe, or just some of them? If it's only some, then your digital system may actually be revealing the differences in various digital recordings. Many older CDs exhibit an character that I would describe as sounding uninteresting or boring. If, on the other hand, all of your digital content is afflicted, then the right new DAC box may provide a satisfying solution. Whatever the root cause, know that you can attain musically interesting, low-fatigue digital playback without paying a King's ransom.
