I have tried them with my favorite copper/teflon cryo wire.
In my system, they sounded extremely detailed and open in the treble range.
I bet they would make an excelent connector for a digital IC.So far, my preferences are:
1st Vampire 800CB, the best IMO, a very balanced, even sound quality.
No major frequency response roblems or colorations.
2nd WBT W105 old-style crimp RCAS (I have not tried the nextGen plugs), slightly warm sound;
3rd Cardas Rhodium; neutral sound, though slightly metallic midrange;
4th Cardas Silver; very open sound, ideal for those who like silver ICS;
5th DH Labs, too open on top; otherwise top-notch;
6th Bullet Plugs; they do not sound right in the lower midrange, IMO
Good luck in your search
