If you do go the pre-assembled route, I believe that Chris VH offers the best bang for the buck. Regardless of the model you choose, spend the extra $20.00 to get it cryoed. Cryogenic treatment provides some amazing performance improvements. There are a number of DIY PCs that are very easy to make and have been well reviewed on this asylum.
- JPS in-wall power cable that Blake talks about is good for high current devices such as power amps and power conditioners
- Cardas crosslink cable is great for preamps and digital devicesI noticed that you are from Canada, I am as well (Toronto). For Canadians, my first recommendation is Gene at www.TakeFiveAudio.com for parts. For Americans, Chris Venhaus at http://venhaus1.com/VH_Audio_Test.html. I have purchased from both with great success. Chris has some more specialized AC components that I could not source in Canada.
If you only need very short cables, I have some short lengths of the Cardas and JPS cable just collecting dust. The cable has also been cryo-treated. Send me a message if you are interested.
