I achieve greatly increased depth, in addition to scads more venue information. In fact, that's the primary reason I started cryo'ing things 3 years ago....a lot more musical information. And upfront presentation? Not to my ears. Not at all. My experiences, with *everything* I've had done by Cryo International, have created a much more relaxed presentation, along with improved dynamics, a much quieter background, and the aforementioned scads of increased venue information. Customers have reported the same. Excepting for the bright-nickel plated HBL8300's, which *do* create a more upfront, immediate presentation, everything else gets more relaxed and refined. Yeah, that's the right word....refined.To each his own. Sorry your aural experiences don't match mine, and many others. It's obvious you don't like the sonic characteristics from cryo treatment....that's one thing. But ruined? You've used that unfortunate hyperbole before. This use of it gives an inaccurate picture to those who are unknowledgeable about the cryogenic processes. Perhaps that's just what you intend, since you are not shy with your opinions. And your opinions are valid, as this is what you feel about your experience. But please don't paint these processes with such a wide brush, as others, beside myself, have had resounding success with them. Again, like food and wine tasting, it comes down to individual preferences, and that's exactly what's going on here.
