""Your casual experence is moot.""JCMy "casual" experience with cryogenic conductors is consistent with what was written by McDonald years ago, and I have reported such..
Why did you post this way? I've not done so to you when you report an experience of yours which is consistent with a book published, 20 years ago, 23 years ago, 30 years ago, 35 years ago...
I, however, elaborated on the cause of the increase in conductivity, and the fact that the conductivity increase occurs without regard to grain boundaries or lattice imperfections. If the electrons were impeded by the grain boundaries as some manufacturers claim, then the mean free path could never exceed that of the grain size..And McDonalds results of four orders of magnitude improvement (which is in fact, a mean free path of about 10 centimeters) in conductivity could not be realized, nor the three I see in actual practice..And which is also published...not "casual, as you suggest".
So, I do not understand your attitude...I fear I must be reading it incorrectly, as this thread started with a question on grain boundaries, and I speak of that...
Cheers, John
