Before anyone again jumps down my throat, let me say these are my limited observations, they verify no theory, and they are not guaranteed to hold for others.I got three more Absolute power cords cryogenically treated and installed in my system. These were used on the amps and on my AN DAC 4.1x Sig. Another Absolute was already on my preamp. With four now in the system, the noise level dropped even further with a resulting audibility of very subtle details. This results in more clues about staging and a resulting greater sense of width, depth, and preciseness of artist location. The dynamics also seem improved.
But the real improvement came with installing the Nordost Valhalla interconnects that I had treated. Basically it is the same type of improvement but on a much greater scale. One is tempted to raise the volume beyond realistic levels because the sound is so pure and quiet. The most subtle contributions to the music are now clearly audible and enjoyable. Frankly I had no expectations that the sound would be so greatly improved.
I would note that cables such as those from Jena Labs, Pure Note, and probably Siltech Gen. 5 are greatly advantaged by cryogenic treatment. It is not fair to compare non-treated cables with these.
