It would be more expensive to use a different gas, as Liquid Nitrogen is so readily available. The differences of a few degrees could be relevant, but not relevant enough to justify using a proprietary cryogenic treatment. I'd be surprised if Jena Labs actually did the Cryo treatment, rather than having it done to their spec.
