I am considering buying a bi-wire pair of PAD Colossus Rev B speaker cables, but I am not able to audition them before buying. I have owned some more recent PAD cables and power cords, but I have never heard the older Colossus series cables. I currently own a pair of Venustas Praesto phono interconnects, and a Aqueous Aureus power cord.
I know the pair of Colossus that I am looking at listed for about $2500 back in their day, and they appear to be very well built. They can be had for about the same price as a current pair of Musaeus bi-wire used. There is not much information on the net about these cables, as they were discontinued about 10 years ago. So I'm wondering if any Purist fans out there who have heard these older designs think they stack up with Jim Aud's current designs, in particular, the Musaeus.
