Duster, I am reminded of many years ago when I bought my first Classé amp. It came with their "Classé Reference AC Linecord" which was made up of Cardas Twinlink cable, with a cheap Eagle yellow plastic male plug on one end and Schurter IEC on the other. I fired off a letter to Classé complaining about their use a cheap $2.99 plug on a so-called reference power cord. I received a nice letter back from their VP of marketing stating that their engineers auditioned a bunch of plugs at various price levels, and thought the cheap Eagle plug sounded the best.
