Some of my audio pieces were cryo'd. However, I do not have the non-cryo samples to do a side-by-side comparison, so I am not at liberty to comment.
My Oyaide SWO-XXX outlets have been given the cryo treatment. I have an audiophile friend in San Francisco who was using the non-cryo, standard stock SWO-XXX. When he replaced one with a cryo-treated sample, he said the the latter, when used to feed his audio system, was quieter, less "jittery." I have only heard his system with the cryo-treated outlet, so I have no idea how it compares to his older, non-cryo'd outlet. The good news is, he was able to take his old, non-cryo'd outlet, and use it in a smaller room.
Cryogenic treatment and using cable burn-in devices are two separate, different, independent treatments. Yes, my cryo-treated outlets, plugs, cables, and parts can be and are placed on my Cable Cooker.
For some years running, there have been other cable-treatment devices on the market. You will have to ask the others here about these devices.
