RE: Telephone cable and distance from electrical conduits

The electrical service conductors are shielded inside the thick walled metal conduit. The CATV/phone/internet service provider's cable is also shielded. There should be no cross-interaction between the two. For years I've had CATV/internet, electrical, home security system, and surround speaker wires all crisscrossing in my basement with no evidence of interference between them.
