What make and model CD player ? I'm going to go out on a limb and question the benefit of doing such a mod to a CD player that has a captive cord ? I mean no insult but, almost all of the better CD players have IEC inlets. Attached two-prong polarized cord suggests low-end player. As the saying goes, it would be like trying to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. But hey, maybe I am wrong.
