"An outlet wont fix pollution anymore than a powercord will...WILL IT???? Im asking"
An audio grade outlet addresses issues such as outlet body resonances, high purity contacts which includes cryogenic treatment of the contacts, plating of the contacts with different precious metals which can be used to very good effect at tuning ones system.
The biggest aspect is the receptacle body and it's acoustical resonance signature. An Oyaide by itself just mounted to the sheetrock/plastic receptacle box will be a dramatic improvement over a contractor grade outlet but adding a WPC-Z takes it into another realm as this mitigates a tremendous amount of acoustic energy that is impinged on the wall the outlet is mounted to.
If one really thinks about it, the outlet is mounted to a big panel of sheetrock which is nailed to studs which are spaced 16" apart and this sets up a huge "drumhead" resonance when sound is impinged on the walls.
It is the drumhead resonances that get transfered to the outlet and induce resonant vibrations into the receptacle which is transfered down your power cord to your components........not good!
Cheers
