Just a small point of clarification....the R-1's (and other Oyaide outlets) undergo a DOUBLE cryogenic treatment. I found years ago that the second treatment offered an even lower noise floor, plus a little more "musical information" from just a single treatment.

These new Ultimo outlets require 6 days on the Cooker (as opposed to 4 days on the original SWO models), as the internal contacts are nearly twice as thick. I also recommend a few days of constant current draw after installation, so the outlets may settle in and sound their best.
