Mr. Burke, Your aggressivenes and innuendos are totally uncalled for.
I thought I was posting helpful information in a polite and friendly manner. I even apologized in advance for not agreeing with your praise for the Eichman copper plugs.
I poste the proof, your own photo of rusted connector.
I was not pushing my cables (they are not sold in the USA), nor do I make Vampire or WBT plugs.
My profile has the M letter, therefore it's no secret that I am a (part-time) manufacturer.
My post comes from actual trial-and-error experience as a hobbyist AND manufacturer..I have been using Caig Labs products for many years.
Pro-Gold will help Eichman copper plugs for about 6 months, then you will notice a slow degradation of sound quality. Solution: clean thoroughly the plug, the RCA socket internals and re-apply Pro-Gold (and again and again every 6 months).
So,in summary, I get the flack in return for sharing my experience, because I am "a cable manufacturer". Do I sense a prejudice there ?
Is this fair and reasonable behaviour expected from AA members ?
