Re: Audio Aerp Capitole power amp?

Greetings
I have lots of experience with the Audio Aero Capitole power amp.
With the right speakers,it can transform your music into a magic event.
I believe it is the best-sounding class A push-pull tube amp I have ever heard, including several ARC, CJ, Manley and Cary PP amps.

It does not play loud on early Thiel or Apogee speakers (1-2 ohms), otherwise, on sensitiveble 4-8 ohm speakers it betters my Gamut D-200 amp, including dynamics, timbre, frequency extension and soundstaging.
Its bass goes flat to 7 Hz and it sounds like a 200 W per channel amp when the music asks for power.
It has an outstanding soundstage and incredible finesse. It does not sound tubey or muffled at all...more like a straight wire with gain, excellent instrumental timbre and outstanding imaging.
On pianissimos, it sounds very close to a single ended amplifier, specially if one uses NOS 6SN7s as input and driver tubes.
The stock JJ output tubes are very reliable and sound excellent to my ears.
I plan to assemble a vinyl-only system with the Capitole, an ARC tubed phono preamp and a Linn turntable.
If you have more questions, I will be glad to answer.
Carlos
