Did you actually have problems with the selector switch or were you commenting based on the type and its reputation as the only thing in the amp that gives problems. It seems fine so far in both my A28B and my A48B.
I see that you have an external phono stage. Do you also have the built in phono? If so, did the new direct wiring reduce cross-talk if the tuner or CD are on?
Your comments about temperature are interesting. The review that mentioned it running hot was from Australian Hi-Fi; perhaps it was done in hot weather. I'll still try to track down the correct bias settings as I find that they are often off a fair bit in used equipment.
