Re: Voltage rating of Ouput Coupling Caps in tube preamp?

The output coupling caps will see full B+ voltage upon power-on, until the tubes warm up and start conducting.
250V may not be a safe rating, because ARC likes to use high voltages in their tube power supplies.

To be safe and improve sound quality, I would use 400V or 600V caps(better).
Infinity used to be good caps in their time, ther is better stuff available nowadays.
In ascending order of quality/transparency and price, IMHO:
Auricap
Hovland
Relcap polypropilene and foil
Relcap exotica Teflon caps (only available in small values, though)

In a separate league all by itself, if you prefer smooth sound instead of lots of detail, I bet you will fall in love with Jensen copper foil PIO caps. They sound very organic, with the right proportion of weight and detail (to my ears).
I hope this helps
Carlos
