I would be very surprised if the 310 was as good as the 3020B.
If I were in your position I would keep the 3020B and keep my eyes open for a real deal on a second hand amp from a manufacturer who has made products are aimed closer to the real high end than NAD, Rotel or Cambridge. Within the NAD range, I don't think you will do much better than the 3020B (except for more power if that is important) Arcam, Musical Fidelity and Sugden are among the names I would look for. Each of them has made some pretty good equipment that you can now pick up for less than $500 (sometimes a lot less). There are of course lots of other options.David
