Re: Musical HT Receiver with Variable Crossover

The McIntosh MHT100 has adjustable crossover from 40 to 140 HZ in 10 Hz steps. It also has the McBass mode which will allow full range fronts while the rest of the speakers are crossed over. In the stereo mode only the front left and rights will play if the McBass mode is not engaged.
In the four music, cinema modes, or eight channel external input modes all speaker levels can be stored in memory to match your by source preferences.
The MHT100 has true preamp outputs for all channels and the 'B', second-stereo zone. All six 140 watt amps in the 'A' Zone as well as the two 140 watt amps in the 'B' zone have amp in connections so the eight amplifiers can be assigned as you wish with normal patch or y cables. This allows the option of Bi Amping your main speakers if you do not want to use say the 'B' zone amps. External power amps can be used as the pre amp outputs match the levels of normal McIntosh pre amps.
If the internal amps are bypassed you can reassign them for additional remote locations, passive subwoofers, etc.
The MHT100 also has the same tuner module as the separate McIntosh tuner. This comes with a powered AM antenna and 20' cable which yields the finest AM in the industry. Am can not be received if the antenna is within six feet of radiation devices like microprocessors,
DVD/CD players, digital TVs, etc. The FM performance of the tuner is comparable to other separate super-tuners in reception and sound quality.
Yes I am biased!
