Re: Mc C45 & MC275 IVs - Ron-C?

Jareb,

The new MK IV MC275 uses new transformers,(bigger) higher voltage (490) volt, more power (90+ watts per channel), and one large circuit board to eliminate internal wiring and increase signal to noise ratio.
The small input tubes now have DC heaters and the heat chimney design used on the MC2000 outputs is used. The tube sockets are board mount ceramic with gold pins.
By using our new automated board stuffing machines, simplified internal layout, and overall cleaner design the performance is way up (SN ratio over -100 Db down) and the price is $1000 less than the last version. KT88s are also used now VS the 6550Cs used in the last MC275.
For all practical purposes this is a new amp. We should see a review soon on the new MC275.

Thanks,
Ron-C
