Amp/Preamp Asylum Looking for a new Amp or Preamp? If you're after tubes, post over here. |

I want to compare 2 preamps quickly but they both have a about a 45 sec soft start. I know its best to shut everything off first before switching the wires but I don't want to shut the pre's off. They will be using the same amp and CD player. My question is could I leave both pre's on and shut off the amp and CD player when I pull interconnects in and out of them? TIA.

- Personally, I wouldn't. I power it all down prior to making/switching any connections.. nt - PureAudio 10:52:09 03/16/04 (0)
