I have the Marsh P2000T, which is the hybrid tube version, not sure how the sound differs. In my system, it is a great preamp and wouldn't want to trade it for any other preamp at the moment. The Marsh preamp P2000, has garnered quite a few glowing and positive reviews in the press. Maybe it was not fully broken in or system dependent as this testimony reveals:http://forum.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/fr.pl?aamps&1048260630&read&keyw&zzmarsh
Also some reviews, with TAS concluding that it was a "near-world-class" preamp:

I guess, goes to show system synergy is fairly important.
