In my experience, most Dynaudio speakers require LOTS of power to play loud and show dynamic compression at low to medium levels.
They do sound very good at loud levels, however, if your priority is dynamics from pianissimo to fortissimo, look for speakers with an efficiency higher than 90 db/W/1 meter and capable of continuous 105 db output.
The ATC amplified monitors do sound very dynamic and have one of the best midrange drivers available.
Other speakers that strike me as dynamic are Proac (the larger models) and Spendor.
Quads excel at low level dynamics but will NOT like to be party speakers.
Alon makes some pretty exciting speakers, as does Coincident Technology.
Good luck in your search, it's hard to beat tri-amplification in the dynamics department.
