As I understand correctly you have an L2 kit pre with M3/L3 phono board ?
And L2/M2 linestage , sports 12au7 tubes correct?
I have the same thing and so called resolution although entirely satisfactory is not it's forte. You may try film teflon caps and see how it will change the sound. Also the pre has tons of gain and with sensitive amp tends to be a little noisy. My friend has M6 MKII and in comparison it is something else ;). He uses M6 with ARC Classic 120 monos but I lent him my old PP 6V6 based kit 4 and he really likes the change. (NO , he is not going to sell his ARC monos but still) . His speakers are Reference Grand Veena.
