You are correct, adjustments should be made with open input and no load. I've have owned several Classe amps and made DC offset and bias adjustments. Swing of up to ±5mVDC is not at all unusual in a model the age of the Seventy. You have aging parts in the differential stage, esp. Q-102-Q104, so that is to be expected. As already suggested, there is another reason why you are getting no other output. BTW, what kind of offset readings are you getting in the other channel ?
