Andrew,These are not exactly the same amps as the MC402 is a fully balanced design where the MC202 is not. You could mix the two amps and save some money by using the MC202 on the center and the MC402 L + R. The main difference in sound will be the signal to noise ratio where the MC402 will be in excess of -120 dB at rated power.In both amps they will far exceed any of your source components, noise wise.
