Manley Labs Neo-Classic 500 MonoBlocks

I have a pair of the wonderful Analysis Audio Amphitryon full range ribbon speakers. Based on my experience, these speakers require over 200wpc in order to achieve full bass extension. I previously drove the speakers with a Rogue Audio Zeus dual mono amp. The Zeus is a great sounding amp in it's 225wpc ultra-linear mode, and at 225wpc it achieved extended bass with my speakers. However, I discovered overwelming sonic magic in the 150wpc triode mode of the Zeus. BINGO!!!!.....triode sound was the ticket to sonic "HEAVEN." Unfortunately, the 150wpc of triode power that the Zeus offered was incapable of driving my speakers to desired levels. I now realized that I needed more triode power. That's where the Manley came in. The Neo-Classic offered 275wpc of triode power which give me the bass extension I was searching for along with that triode magic. I ended up switching out Manley's stock KT-90's for my favorites, the KT-88's. The results are "BREATHTAKING." IMHO, the Manley Labs Neo-Classic 500 Monoblocks are amongst the finest sounding reference level amplification in the business. And they look really great, too.
