I'm very happy with the sound and performance of this unit, I would say it rivals amps that cost considerably more, Bryston 4B-ST for one. The bass is very tuneful and tight, the highs are not shrill like some say, it's all dependent on how the CD or source was recorded. Also the ancillary equipment will dictate the outcome of the sound, it seems to pair well with tubes.
I can't vouch for how reliable they are, but some of the other Audiosource amps have been quite reliable. Also for the price, can't really complain compare with the cost of some of the other high end amp, I figured even if I get 2 years out of it, it's well worth it.
Not sure how many units are left, but there seems to be no shortage at this time if you look at how many units the seller is selling.
