Pre-amp with Acoustat and CJ 2250

Hi

I am using Acoustat 2+2's with a Heybrook C2 pream (designed by Tim de Paravicini) and a CJ MF2250 power amp. Source right now is a Sony DVD player.

I was using a Panny XR 55 receiver which wasn't bad but the CJ +Heybrook combo is much better (overall transparency is improved as well as the musicality esp in the bass, can hear the bass in notes now). I did level match while listening .

One of the issues with the C2 is that it has no remote and is an analog pre amp so decoding is done by the Sony. Eventually going to switch to PC audio as source and my question is

1. Should I keep the heybrook or use another pre-amp that has a remote as well as does decoding. Recommendations for good pre amps welcome (in my area can get Luxman TP 114, PSE Studio One, NAD's at reasonably cheap prices).

2. Get rid of the pre-amp totally when I go to PC audio. (issue is how I will listen to TV inputs then?)
