I'm very quick to point out any injustice I observe, but I'm equally quick to right a wrong. I'm happy to report after speaking to Audiogon personally that there are reasons for censored ads and that manufacturers don't have the complete right to censor what ever ads they please. When it happens to you it's a very unpleasant experience. But I'm told Audiogon has not forgotten the consumer and values the participation of the audiophile community.

Right! Well. I had an EMM labs SACD-SE player that I put up for sale on a Sunday and the ad was pulled on a Monday. Audiogon, in an email sent to me said, "We have removed your listing with credit to your account. At this time this specific EMM Labs model may not be listed on Audiogon, but please check back in 30 day". I ended up selling it on Audio Asylum. I'll never buy EMM labs again, no matter how good it is. I since bought a Wadia 581 and sent it to Great Northern Sound for an upgrade. By the way, I still have the email. Not only will I never buy EMM Labs again, I won't buy from any of the manufactures that participate in the censorship practice with Audiogon.
Well, it appears that Audiogon has some pretty sophisticated software that spotted your suspicious posting and nixed it.
It is pretty clear from these posting that you are utterly incapable of providing anything close to reasonable disclosure of the circumstances, and so there is nothing credible about any of your "claims."
I have no idea what your beef with Audiogon is, and at this point, any further explanation would be suspect. So, it appears to me, with what little evidence that has been put forth, that Audiogon has probably done some potential buyer a favor by not letting you post.

Hello Larry. Maybe I can explain further, as I also had an ad pulled by Audiogon after 24 hours. I was told to contact their marketing dept. before I tried to list it again. I sold my EMM Labs CDSA-SE here on Audio Asylum. I say-Kudos to Audio Asylum. I have a copy of both emails from Audiogon. If you want a copy just email me and I'll send it on. I don't know why Arthur is being so cryptic, but FYI, Audiogon's handling (censoring) of EMM products has been documented before by others.
so i'm still poking around this now pointless thread. larry, the only thing that i'm sure about is that there were at least 5 emm cdsa cd players posted in the last several days, and two that were posted in the last two days were gone ('expired' as they say) as of yesterday (one from 'fsarc' and one from a guy in canada). so that part is a fact (well, maybe not to you, but i'm happy) , but as far as the rest of this arthurP/audiogon monkey business, who knows.
I blame them. Audiogon is just playing the henchmen. Even more so than EMM Labs wanting you to buy a NEW player, I bet they feel it LOOKS BAD that a relatively new, supposedly SOTA player, is showing up in multiple re-sales.Gerry
I don't understand how you draw this conclusion-or any other for that matter-from anything ArthurP has posted. There are several ads for EMM products on Audiogon right now and there are usually several at any one time.
Why this guy persists in his refusal to provide details leads one to think this thread is nothing more than a deliberate attempt to provoke controversy and I for one feel like a dolt for getting sucked in.
The ads that you see on Audiogon for EMM Labs are for the older units only. There were three EMM Labs CDSA-SE players for sale last week for 1-2 days and they were pulled. It sure looks like a deal with the manufacturers to me. I also had an ad for a CDSA-SE player pulled by Audiogon, which ran 24 hours, and still have the email. Contact me and I'll send it on. Stan

I'll spit it out... I had an EMM Labs CDSA-SE player for sale on Audiogon. It lasted for 24 hours before it was pulled. In an email from Audiogon, I was told that "this specific model may not be listed at this time. Contact marketing@Audiogon in 30 days". I still have the emails from Audiogon. The same reason that they pulled my ad for a CDSA-SE player. The newer EMM Labs stuff can't be advertised on Audiogon. My ad was pulled after 24 hours.
